Who is Robin Williams
Robin Williams was a Standup comedian best known for his roles in Good Will Hunting and the genie in Aladdin. Robin William Born on 21 July 1957 in Chicago, Illinois, United States, His Full Name is Robin McLaurin Williams.
Robin Williams was granted a full scholarship for Juilliard School in 1973. During the summers, Williams would work as a busboy to support himself.
He started his Standup Comedy Performances In 1976, in the San Francisco Bay Areas. His very first performance was at a comedy club named Holy City Zoo.
Williams decided to move himself to Los Angeles, and in 1977, he was scouted by a TV producer. William’s TV screen debut came in the same year when he starred in the revival of the popular TV show Laugh In.
Throughout the 1980s, Williams gained more notoriety for his standup. He had several HBO comedy specials such as An Evening With Robin Williams.
Williams also became a popular movie actor. His performance in Dead Poet’s Society (1989) as the beloved English teacher garnered him an Academy Award Nomination.
